Company Roots
We trace our earliest roots to an 1879 oil discovery at Pico Canyon, north of Los Angeles, Calif., which led to the formation of the Pacific Coast Oil Co. That company later became Standard Oil Co. of California and, subsequently, Chevron . We took on the name “Chevron” when we acquired Gulf Oil Corp., in 1984, nearly doubling our worldwide proved oil and gas reserves. Our merger with Gulf was at that time the largest in U.S. history.

Summary of Job / Qualification :
5 years plus experience and 10 years plus preferred with onshore pipeline design, construction, fabrication, installation, commissioning and startup
Able to provide pipeline engineering input throughout pre-FEED, FEED, detailed design, construction, pre-commissioning and commissioning
Competent to act as Company representative for the review of the pipeline aspects of design basis, design drawings, specifications, installation procedures, etc
Have sufficient knowledge to ensure that the design work by contractors meets Company standards and relevant industry codes
Able to monitor the performance of design contractors and suggest remedial actions to avoid design deficiencies and installation delays
Be able to resolve construction and commissioning questions and issues during installation (e.g. as related to pipe laying, hydrotesting, welding, etc.)
Education Level : S1 / D4
Minimum GPA : 2.75
